Additional Events
All Nightwatch plans include a monthly event allowance. If you reach your plan’s limit, you can continue collecting data by enabling Additional Events.
Enabling Additional Events
To enable additional events, set an additional events limit from your billing settings. This acts as a pre-approved cap that allows Nightwatch to continue ingesting events beyond your included quota.
You can set the limit to any amount. Once it’s reached, event ingestion will automatically pause to prevent unplanned overages.
The limit can be updated or removed at any time.
What happens if no limit is set?
If no limit is configured and you exceed your plan’s included events, Nightwatch will pause ingestion for the rest of the billing period. You’ll still have full access to all existing data and product features — nothing is deleted or restricted.
How are additional events billed?
Additional events are metered in blocks of 100,000 and are billed in arrears at the end of your billing cycle based on your plan’s pricing.
If your subscription is set to renew, any additional events charges will be included in your renewal invoice.
You’ll always see an up-to-date count of additional events on the billing page, so you can monitor usage before charges are applied.
What if I upgrade my plan?
If you upgrade your plan after incurring additional events, any outstanding charges will be billed immediately during the upgrade process.
An estimated amount will be shown at checkout, and your event quota will reset based on the new plan.
